Furthermore, their culture enriches the cultural diversity of the United States from language, music, cuisine, to art. Moreover, immigration and immigrants contribute to develop of population which play an important role in labor force. Overall, immigration brings numerous benefits that contribute to the development and wealthy of the United States.

One of the greatest benefits of Immigration in the United States is contributing in driving economic growth by filling jobs, creating their own business, and paying taxes. The majority of restaurants are medium to large scale restaurants with 10–50 workers.” (p.6). The important thing to notice about this information helps to prove for benefits which immigration brought in economic field. Immigrants built their own businesses which had over 100 restaurants in San Francisco, created more jobs for people with 2,000 positions, earned money and paid taxes for local government. Moreover, they contributed in attracting tourists to come here to spend, which would promote the development of related industries such as transportation, hotel, and shopping. As the result, Chinese restaurant industry created large tax revenue, and it was also mentioned in this study, with nearly one quarter of the city’s total sales tax revenue in San Francisco from the restaurant field. This means that we can enjoy diversity cuisines without travelling to those countries. Therefore, immigration contributes their culture in enrich diversity in the United States.

Lastly, immigration sustain population growth and ensure future workforce. In the article, “Children of Poor Immigrants Rise, Regards of Where They Came From”, Emily – the author of the article, shared that although the parents are poor or less educated, some their children achieve higher levels of education and income. The important thing to notice about this is we can recognize that when immigrants move into the US, they not only maintain the current workforce, but their children also contribute to labor force and ensure a future workforce. Furthermore, children from immigrant families demonstrate their talents and abilities which are better than the previous generation, even better than native-born children with higher education and higher income which proved that they got better jobs. Therefore, immigration is a important part of workforce and population structure.

In conclusion, understanding benefits of immigration in the United States will help us have a better future where the country has fair and essential policies for immigration. From solving challenges and myths, to improving public awareness about benefits which immigration brought; we can create a stronger community where the values of diversity and wealthy growth are upholded. If we can recognized the values immigrants brought, we – both immigrants and native-born Americans can live side by side without any douts.

The Greatest Benefits of Immigration in the United States

Immigration is a controversial topic in the United States about its myths and impacts; however, we can not deny the many benefits that it brings to the country. Immigration drives economic growth, creates cultural diversity, and sustains population growth. Immigrants use their skills and experiences, which enhance productivity and innovation in various areas, to create valuable products, earn income and pay taxes. Moreover, immigration and immigrants contribute to the development of the population which play an important role in the labor force. Overall, immigration brings numerous benefits that contribute to the development and wealth of the United States.

One of the greatest benefits of immigration in the United States is contributing in driving economic growth by filling jobs, creating their own business, and paying taxes. Immigrants played an important role in the workforce in Chinatown, especially in the restaurant industry. Through a study, “Check, Please! Health and Working Conditions in San Francisco Chinatown Restaurants”, although the article does not analyze the economic problems that immigrants bring in detail, it does provide the following figures “There are over 100 restaurants in the approximately 0.13 square miles of Chinatown, employing an estimated 2,000 workers... The majority of restaurants are medium to large scale restaurants with 10–50 workers,” (p.6). The important thing to notice about this information helps prove the benefits that immigration brought to economic field. Immigrants built their own businesses which had over 100 restaurants in San Francisco, created more jobs for people with 2,000 positions, earned money and paid taxes for local government. Moreover, many restaurants are concentrated, like Chinatown, contributed in attracting tourists to come spend. In the article, “Check, Please! Health and Working Conditions in San Francisco Chinatown Restaurants”, the authors shared that “San Francisco’s Chinatown is one of the oldest in North America and ranks as the third-most visited tourist destination in the City,” (p.6). This supports the idea that visitors promote the development of related industries such as transportation, hotel, and shopping when they visit Chinatown. As a result, Chinese restaurant industry created large tax revenue, and it was also mentioned in this study, with nearly one quarter of the city’s total sales tax revenue in San Francisco from the restaurant industry (p.6). Therefore, immigration has made a significant contribution to economic development.

This means that we can enjoy various cuisines without travelling to those countries. Therefore, immigration contributes their culture to enrich diversity in the United States.

Lastly, immigration sustains population growth and ensures future workforce. When immigrants come to the United Stares, if they are legal, they are already part of the population. Moreover, their children represent a better workforce than their parents. In the article, “Children of Poor Immigrants Rise, Regards of Where They Came From,” Emily – the author of the article, shared that although the parents are poor or less educated, some their children achieve higher levels of education and income. The important thing to notice about this is we can recognize that when immigrants move into the US, they not only maintain the current workforce, but their children also contribute to the labor force and ensure a future workforce. From solving challenges and myths to improving public awareness about benefits which immigration has brought; we can create a stronger community where the values of diversity and wealthy growth are upholded. If we can recognize the values immigrants bring, both immigrants and native-born Americans can live side by side without myths, discrimination, or blaming each other.

 A meaningful lesson

Through this process, I recognized my mistake in writing. They also are my weakness in grammar that I need to improve. They are parallel structure with and, how to create a noun phrase, subject-verb agreement, and how to use articles for nouns. Moreover, the way I explained my ideas was not clear, so some sentences made my teacher confused when I over use relative pronoun. From reviews and comments from my teacher to my paper 1 and paper 2, I reviewed and read them carefully. Therefore, I found out my mistakes and corrected them. In final paper, these mistakes were fixed; however, I have still not improved how to use academic language. My sentences was just clear enough to understand, not good. I knew this weakness, but I didn't find solution to deal with it. I don't know how to combine and use my vocabulary to make a good sentence. I'm supposed to read academic books more frequently, and I should research and practice using MLA format to improve my skills in writing. In my paper, I had a mistake in works cited by not allowing alphabetical order. A good point, I can share that my paper gradually improve step by step because I received professional reviews and comments from my teacher and my re-reading. Therefore, the more I reread my paper, the more my papers were improved.
